    According to the Xinjiang Oilfield Branch of China National Petroleum Corporation (hereinafter referred to as PetroChina), on December 15, a major discovery was made in the risk exploration of the Shawan Sag in the Junggar Basin. The risk exploration well, Shatan 1 Well, was located in the Upper Urho of the Permian System. The 5344-5375 meter well section was formed to obtain high-yield industrial oil flow. The current daily oil production of the 2.5 mm nozzle is stable at more than 20 cubic meters. This shows that the area is rich in oil and gas reserves and has the potential to be exploited, and another major oil field may be born.

    PetroChina stated that the discovery of Well Shatan 1 has further expanded the new exploration areas of the Permian Wuerhe Formation in the entire basin, and the Shawan Sag is expected to become another reserve and production growth area after the Mahu Sag.

In June, 7.49 million tons of new manganese ore resources were discovered through deep drilling. A total of more than 50 million tons of manganese ore resources have been discovered in the Malkansu area, with an average grade of more than 30%. The prospective resources are predicted to exceed 100 million tons. It has become the largest manganese ore resource exploration and development base in Xinjiang.

    The world-class super-large Huoshaoyun lead-zinc deposit discovered in the Hotan area is thick, shallowly buried and rich in grade. It is the largest lead-zinc deposit discovered so far in my country and the second largest non-sulfide zinc (lead) deposit in the world. According to previously announced data, the lead grade is 4.58%, the zinc grade is 23.92%, and the average lead + zinc grade is 28.51%, making it a rare high-grade deposit among world-class lead-zinc deposits.
